The re_direct Project

Building Community to Develop the Next Generation of Digital Leaders

Giving Kids a Safe Place to Go Online

The re_direct Project is dedicated to empowering the next generation of the cybersecurity workforce by pivoting youth interest away from cybercrime and other illicit online activities. We provide education, mentorship, and other focused resources to help aspiring youths build rewarding careers in cybersecurity.

The re_direct Project provides curated resources to survivors of cybercrime. If you, a loved one, or a friend, are currently being harmed online, you are not alone. Visit our resources page to access a library of resources.

Mentoring the Next Generation

We connect youth with mentorship in cybersecurity, empowering at-risk youths and young adults to develop their skills and nurture the next generation of cyber defenders.

Through partnerships with non-profits, academic institutions, and for-profit companies, we provide tailored off ramps to at-risk kids getting them off the path to cyber criminality and on the path to successful careers and educational opportunities.

Empowering Educators

We provide educators, community leaders, parents, and youth with practical and age-appropriate training to help protect themselves in digital spaces.

From their first moments online we have an obligations to keep our kids safe. Our resource page is tailored to different age groups to meet every kid at any age where they are in their online lives.

re_direction

The re_direct Project is dedicated to developing a youth diversion program that transforms the skills of children involved in low-severity cybercrimes, offering them employment opportunities in cybersecurity to apply their talents for good.

Too often our activities online go unchecked. The first time a young person may hear what they’ve been up to is against the law is when law enforcement shows up at their door.

We are building a world where involvement with law enforcement isn’t a life sentence of housing insecurity, problems obtaining employment, and myriad other consequences.

We are building a world which reduces incentives to re-offend, offers opportunities to repair harm, and fosters career paths out of cybercrime.
